The Untuning of the World: Non-representational Field Recording and In Situ Processing
"This workshop explores aspects of how I approach the gathering of audio material from an environment, through activities investigating hidden properties of sound, space and recording techniques, on-site processing, microphone placement and deep listening, offering a unique perspective on artistic freedom in field recording and some food for thought with regard to the tradition of acoustic ecology. (Optional materials to bring: portable recording device, battery powered speaker or playback device, cell phone)"
