Sounds Like is an annual audio art festival based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Started in 2011 by AKA artist-run, it quickly expanded to a three-fold partnership between PAVED Arts, a Saskatoon media based artist-run gallery and production centre and Holophon, a non-profit organization that seeks to unite communities using sound as an artistic medium.

Under the direction of PAVED Arts since 2016, Sounds Like has been reformatted as an annual project of sustained curatorial exploration. PAVED Arts has engaged Saskatoon’s Unheard Sound Collective to curate the 7th edition of the festival. Along with the artists already invited to perform at the festival, successful applicants to this open call will be selected in consideration of the curatorial thematic by a jury of contemporary audio artists and curators drawn from the local community.
